Ohio trip- part 3- Back to Ney.

We finished up our trip by stopping back in Ney on our way back home.

Evie and Annalise stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and were happy to see baby June again. Although Evie wondered why she slept so much and wondered if she would ever wake up.

We spent the afternoon and evening outside playing and trying to run the kids down. It was pretty easy considering that all of them hadn't been getting naps and were pretty tired after a big week.

First we just ran around.

Then we played the very fun game of "Touch the Tree."

Later, Natalie and Oliver came over and the girls made a parade.

Henry liked that idea and got Oliver to climb in the little wagon. I don't know if this wagon can hold a boy like Oliver. Look at those wheels.

About 2 seconds later, Henry gave the wagon a good yank and Oliver fell out backwards on the concrete. Luckily, he was okay after a cuddle with mom.

We did get one picture of the kids together. I didn't say it was a good picture, but they are all in there. 6 grandkids in the course of 4 years and 3 days. Wait until this summer and number 7 comes along.

Natalie helped give baby June a bottle and asked if they could please take her home and keep her forever. I said only if they took Henry too. She said no, thank you.

We had one more set of visitors before we left. Hannah came by to meet June and show off her skills as a three month old!

Here we are with Hannah and her mom Mindy. Mindy and I went to high school together. Mindy also has a 3 year old named Ethan. But he was out in the barn with the guys. Out there you can swing, ride bikes, and sit on tractors. Grandpa took the opportunity to teach the kids some great tricks too. He taught Evie to climb to the top of the 6 foot step ladder and jump off. Then he taught Henry how to run under a closing garage door.

We came back to Wisconsin yesterday. The return trip was not as smooth as the first trip. Henry was very overtired and had a hard time remembering not to whine and cry. And baby June decided that she wanted to see all of Indiana. Luckily, after a stop and a snack, both kids fell asleep for the entire trip through Chicago and woke up in pretty good moods.

It's nice to be back home. We're trying to catch up on sleep today. But we wish the weather could have come back with us. It's 35 degrees, rainy and windy here. And it's supposed to snow this weekend. Maybe it will break 60 degrees by May.
