Our great weekend- June.
Our weekend just kept getting better and better. We visited our friends Miss Sara and Mister Seh Young for some authentic Korean barbecue and to say goodbye. They nice enough to give us another bottle of great Korean wine. (Mama really liked what they gave us for papa's graduation.)
Then we headed straight over to the fairgrounds (okay, the big parking lot outside the Alliant Energy Center) for the Dane County Fair. Now, being a 10 year 4-H'er, it wasn't the best county fair we've every been to, but it did have redeeming qualities- first, the FFA booth had some great deep fried cheese curds, and the Pork Producers booth made a mean pork sandwich.
And just when we were about to give up, we saw the greatest thrill show on earth. Let's just say there were lots of spectacles high in the air that had stunt names like "The Wheel of Destiny" and "The Globe of Death." It was awesome. Even the kids enjoyed it. Except for me. I had to sit in the stroller and hot and sweaty and no one would share their slushees, birch beer, or mini donuts with me. Aunt Jenni did let me lick the corn dog though, since everyone else was eating it.

This morning we all woke up early (not as early as the Tallers though) and had a great breakfast of collard green and zucchini fritatta and blueberry and cherry clafouti. (Can you believe we're trying to eat down our food, yet mom still had the ingredients for this stuff on hand? (All thanks to our organic veggie share.)
We followed breakfast up with PopRocks.
You can tell Aunt Jenni's on vacation because they rolled into town with fudge and candy. For breakfast!!
And Aunt Jenni brought out the last of the candy for us- candy cigarettes in honor of our move to tobacco country.
All of that swimming must have used a lot of energy for Henry because tonight for supper he ate one half of a pork chop, peas, half of mama's sugar snap peas (shells and all), a graham cracker, a handful of marshmallows that he found when mama was cleaning out the cupboards, a big bowl of watermelon, another graham cracker, more marshmallows, a banana, and some carrots. Geesh.

Hank,
You are such a big boy now. You waited very patiently for your turn on the candy. GG&GG are so proud of you.
Love to all---
