Well, if this isn't your lucky day...
Mom here. In an effort to support our troops and to feel comradarie with Grandpa Cooper who is over in Iraq, tonight we ate as the troops eat. Grandpa gave us a couple MREs (meals ready to eat) and frankly, they took up a lot of space in my kitchen, so we cracked them open.

Dad ate the beef teryaki. If we had known there were skittles in there, we would have opened them a long time ago. I've never seen brown plastic put to such appetizing use before.

I had the pleasure of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. Brown gravy should be your first indication to run away.

Slice of bread for you dad? It's only 3 years old! Still tastes good though.

Wow! This meatloaf looks...... And to see mashed potatoes come out in sheet form. That's really something.
After this meal, we've decided we're against the war and it's time to bring troops home. Grandpa, we hope this isn't what you're eating better than this. If not, maybe you should transfer to Afghanistan. Cole says there are Starbucks and Burger Kings there.
