Goodbye to the Cowens- Henry.

Tonight our friends the Cowens came over for supper and to say goodbye before they move to Kentucky. Mama says that as academics, we have to get used to the fact that people finish their degrees and move away. Luckily, the Cowens could be on our way home from North Carolina, so we're sure we'll see them again soon.
Nora paid a lot of attention to June.

While Clare helped me play with my new train track.

After the 3 kids collectively ate a pizza by themselves, we headed outside for ice cream bars.

Nora, being the most experienced of the group, did well with her ice cream.

My ice cream fell off the stick, so I decided to eat it with my hands until the ice cream fell out of the chocolate.

Clare managed to eat all of her chocolate before her ice cream hit the pavement.

Poor baby June just got to watch.
Later, Nora got a cuddle with June.

And all the kids sat down for a picture. Look at those nice smiles on the Cowen girls and the identical grimaces on the Turner kids. So young, and we're already hitting the Seibert awkward stage. Mama is still trying to overcome her awkward stage.

Good luck on your move Cowens! We'll miss you!
