Henry update- Mama.

Tomorrow Henry turns 30 months old. Two and a half years. Exactly 10 times older than June. that is old.

We're having a ton of fun with Henry these days. The love and logic that we've used on him has been working out great- not that he was that poorly behaved before. Here's some fun things that Henry has said or done recently.

Favorite color: Pink- we think it's because everything of June's is pink.

Favorite food- dino nuggets- since Henry has soy nuggets, we decided it was a lot more fun to tell him they were made from dinosaurs instead.

Favorite show- Super Why. A PBS show about a boy named Whyatt who solves problems by reading.

Favorite books: Stevie's Tricycle- a classic golden book that reads like a manual on bicycles. (What a Seibert.) And Curious George Plays Baseball. I haven't read a different book in about two weeks. Both of these books are from Papa's collection as a kid (although Stevie's Tricycle does have Uncle Cole's name written inside.) Brandon was pretty excited to read these to Henry because he had "books just like these when he was a kid." It took him a few minutes to realize that Nama brought his old books up to our house.

Funny Henryisms: When asked if he wants to help start the dishwasher, Henry yells "Of course!"

Everything now is in relation to how clean a room could be. So every time we get something out Henry usually remarks that were "making a lot of messy in here." When you ask him why we clean, he says it's so we can get the "house on market."

And he always gives June a few of his toys to play with too.

Tonight, Henry insisted that June be put to sleep in the crib in his room. He is a great big brother. He picked out her jammers. He picked out one car for her- Snot Rod. And he even let her have "Stevie's Tricycle" to read before we put her down. It all turned out to be a ploy. He thought if June slept in his room, then he'd get to sleep in our room. He was bummed when we told him he'd still have to sleep in his bed in his room. But we put him in there and so far no one is screaming. (He's under explicit orders to only whisper.)

And here's the half birthday boy playing with his cars first thing this morning.
