Another party!- June.

We've been busy visiting our friends and saying our goodbyes. Tonight we went over to Mister Michael and Miss Page's houseMama and Mister Michael traded babies. She got baby Darian while Mister Michael strained his arms to hold such a heavy girl.

Mama got a quick peak of Darian while he was in the sling. He still sleeps most of the time, but mama made a point to stop cuddling him enough so he would open his eyes. We don't think Miss Page appreciated that too much though because when he's not sleeping, he's nursing.
Sophia was cute, as usual. She invited us to a picnic.

And even offered us watermelon! Don't forget to spit out the seeds!

Meanwhile, the guys played basketball and everyone forgot about me. Luckily, my foot was there to keep me company.

Mister Adam and Miss Melissa also showed up to bid us adieu. Adelaide was especially excited for the pizza!
She was very interested in baby June and always crawled in her direction.
And Henry finally met his match in Addie's older brother Elias. Most of Henry's friends are younger than him. And really all of the kids we know that are older are girls. Now tell me a three year old boy isn't different than a three year old girl. Lots of energy! Henry is used to dominating the room with running, jumping and yelling. But Elias can keep right up with him. Papa said they were both trying to mark their territory and they went at it all night- mostly fighting over toys. Henry is a bit weepy over all of the changes that are going on lately, so when Elias wanted to play with one of the 20 matchbox cars he brought, Henry was not so pleased. Luckily, when we went outside, there was enough room for both of them and they soon found a dirt pile that made everyone happy.

And to round out the night, the Turner kids showed their true athletic ability- by both managing to get knocked in the head with a basketball. I was lucky enough to just have it roll at my head. Henry got a little more of a direct "rebound" to the face. As you can see, there was a little mouth blood, but all papa had to do was mention the cars he'd left at Sophia's and he perked right up.

Finally, since everything we own is packed up, we were lucky enough to find an empty house that was aching for guests since it's owners are away. When we got to the house Henry seemed pretty pleased and even announced that "This kitchen is great!" Then he declared that he liked our new house. Apparently, he thought this house was North Carolina. Sorry Henry, but the trip to North Carolina is going to be a lot more painful that across town.

I fear Henry's main memory of me will be that I am a bad shot with a basketball. Sorry Henry...
