Baby naming contest

Aunt Jenni is convinced that Mom and Dad named me after Bocephus. (Hank, why do you drink?) She thinks we should name my little brother or sister after another old country song.

So far, the only boy name we've come up with is a boy named Sue.

But for girls, it's a little more promising.

1. Dolly--not because she's got a song named after her, but just because we love her so much.

2. Jolene--Don't take my man. This is Aunt Jenni's number 1 pick.

3. Lucille--although she left Kenny with four hungry children and a crop in the field.

4. Amanda--the light of my life. And really the only song on the list not about breaking hearts.

5. Elvira- Giddy Up Oom Poppa Omm Poppa Mow Mow.


6. Bobby Sue--the Oak Ridge Boys really had it right.

Come to think of it, if it's a boy, Mom wants to name Baby Gordo (that's what we call it) "Golden" after William Lee Golden--that smooth-voiced fella with the beard below.
