Official report of the ultrasound.
There is a single intrauterine gestation with an estimated gestational
age of 19 weeks 6 days which correlates exactly with the earlier exam
with normal interval growth. Fetal cardiac activity is identified at 156
beats per minute. The placenta is anterior. The fetus is transverse with
head on the left. Amniotic fluid index is 13. Fetal anatomic survey of is
normal including a 4 chamber heart view, three-vessel umbilical cord,
fetal bladder, 2 fetal kidneys, fetal stomach, and imaging of the fetal
brain and spine. The cervix is closed and measures 4.6 cm in length.
Here's what we heard from the doctor. Everything officially looks good. And we think baby Gordo is going to look like Henry.
Aunt Jenni, does a heart rate of 156 mean a boy or a girl?

The old wives tale would say girl, but I know two boys born with heart rates over 150, so I wouldn't go painting the room pink just yet.
