Big boy in a big boy bed.

Mama here. Big news at our house. (No, I didn't have a baby. If we did, we would have told you already.) Our big news tonight is that Henry decided he wanted to sleep in the big boy bed in his room. He must know that something big is coming and that we only have one crib.
He spent a good hour and a half getting settled into his big boy bed and we had to go in and remind him on three occasions of the three rules- "Lie down. Don't talk. Don't get out of bed." He was good about the first and third rule, but as is par for about the last month, motor mouth wouldn't stop talking.

When we went in for the last time to threaten him to go to sleep or go back in the crib, he just laid there grinning like an overtired goofball. It was pretty apparent that someone was awfully proud of himself.

We'll see how well our experiment goes when Henry wakes up tomorrow morning. We've grown accustomed to our guy to wakes up late and plays quietly in his crib until someone comes to get him. This could be quite an adjustment for everyone.

Don't keep us in suspense...how did it go? Did he stay in the big boy bed?
Love,
Nama
