Our blizzard.
Here's a quote from a new story tonight in Madison:
"By about 6:45 p.m., snow was tapering off in Madison, which had recorded 12.5 inches at the Dane County Airport, according to meteorologist Chris Kuhlman of the National Weather Service's Sullivan office.
The highest snow total Kuhlman's office received Wednesday was from about nine miles northwest of Beloit, which saw 21 inches of snow as of 5:30 p.m.
He said Madison's total snowfall for this winter stands at 74.3 inches — less than 2 inches shy of the record of 76.1 inches set in 1978-79. Today was also the 38th day out of the last 68 since Dec. 1 that there has been measurable snow in Madison."
I say we set that record! Lucky for us, it's supposed to snow again on Friday. and it's only February 6th! We're going to destroy that record! We'll get at least 3 or 4 more storms before February is over and then at least 1 or 2 more in March. You've got to love Wisconsin.
Remember that, all of you old folks headed down to New Orleans to live it up with Aunt Lillie. Why go to sunny warm Louisiana, when you could be up here in Madison?
