We made it- mama.
Sorry to lave you all hanging, loyal blog readers. We made it to Winston-Salem (or just Winston, as they call it down here) on Wednesday night and our stuff was delivered on Thursday. The unloading was done by the same under-performing crew, who left all of our furniture unassembled and most of the rest of it in all the wrong room. (You would figure that labeling every box with the proper destination would make it easy for them, but we still found the mop in the bedroom and June's clothes on the back deck.)
Our new house is a great little townhouse. We've met all of our neighbors and they are very nice and don't seem to mind our two noisy kids. Henry thinks the best part of our new house is the swimming pool that the association built. And lucky for us, all of our neighbors are older folks and no one ever uses the pool, so it's practically private.
Henry is adjusting well and is glad all of his toys are here. June is having a hard time lately, but we think it has more to do with the fact that she's always rolling over but doesn't want to be on her belly. Also, we think she's getting hungry more than ever. Of course this had to happen when we left the 3 month breast milk supply in Grandma Cooper's freezer, so we had to break down and go out and buy a can of formula last night. I think it's soon to get better though, because she ate two big bowls of rice cereal last night. We've got another Oliver on our hands.
Right now, we're busy unpacking (I don't think it's ever going to end!). We're currently glumming off our neighbor's wireless internet connection and it's not strong enough to upload any pictures, so hopefully later I'll be able to steal away to a coffee shop and work on updating you on how fun our last week has been.
